Hi everyone,
some time ago Rüdiger Rolf asked me if I could build a RPM repository for
Matterhorn, its dependencies and the third-party tools (tesseract, ffmpeg,
mediainfo, …). Using such a repository you can easily install either the
third-party tools or a complete matterhorn system without compiling
everything on every system.

This was finished about a month ago for the third-party tools and about a
week ago for the whole matterhorn system. We are currently checking if
would be ok to open up the finished repo for everyone (You know: patent
restrictions for codes and so on) and hope to have that cleared out in a
couple of weeks.

I did however also write a step-by-step walkthrough about how to create
your own local repository from source RPMs. As all needed specification
and source files are already finished it is a matter of simply compiling
matterhorn and the dependencies once. Then you can deploy the RPMs to as
many systems as you want to.

The spec files and the howto can be found at:

         https://github.com/lkiesow/matterhorn-rpms

It would be quite helpful if some of you have a look at that and give some
feedback.

Regards,
Lars Kiesow
