Ah, I bet this would solve the issue then. When I see the error I
usually see a snippet of HTML with a 301 in the title. E.g:
local = '6c9fd3d150b8a5f0ca676f49b8ed603793cabebb'; remote = '<html>
<head><title>301' - IGNORING
I wonder if Maven just isn't interpreting the redirect correctly?

This seems to be a very transient error, and I can't reproduce it
reliably. I have seen multiple reports of it now, and usually they can
fix it either by deleting some or all of the cached jersey objects or
trying again later...
I'll keep an eye out for more reports
