Rubén Pérez Vázquez commented on MH-6176:
-----------------------------------------
Galicaster (http://www.galicaster.org) by Teltek Video Research provides all
the characteristics in the list. Below I briefly comment each of the items:
> Deluxe version would be 7'' touchscreen with
Galicaster may or may not include a touchscreen. As the software can run in an
ordinary PC, it is up to the user if attaching a touchscreen or an ordinary
screen. Galicaster-ready units can be purchased, which do include a touchscreen.
> Feedback if recording is running
> countdown to end of recording
> stop button to end automated recording by hand
> pause button to halt recording, e.g. if a student presents some content but
> wouldn't be recorded
> view of metadata (title, series, workflow)
This is all included ootb.
> In case of no recording
> countdown to start of next scheduled recording
> Instant recording button to start a unscheduled recording > display claim
> password to add metadata later
> Start next recording now to start next scheduled recording overly punctual
> (only 15 min before scheduled recording)
This is all included ootb, except for the password to start the recordings,
which is not included in Galicaster 1.1 . It's in the roadmap, though, to be
included in an upcoming version.

> but want to document the info that Clemens has provided (email 22dec10):
> Hi, we have asked a two lecturer what they expect from an automated recording
> system and what feedback mechanism would be good:
> They expect at least an optical feedback in the lecture hall to be notified
> if a session is recorded ("red lamp") better would be a preview of the camera
> picture.
