Not a clue. I ran this through a debugger, and the sorting field is being
passed into Solr properly but the results come back unsorted. I don't even
know who on the project is familiar with Solr. Let's leave this as 1.4 for
now, and when more work starting happening on 1.4 we can take a look then.
