Hi folks, As some of you have probably noticed, I have been putting together a QA status page that will contain the results of our ongoing QA efforts. This page is located at http://opencast.jira.com/wiki/display/MH/QA+Status. The goal of this page is to provide a clear overview of what we think is working, and what we think is not.
I have put a skeleton of the tests that we have come up with on that page, and I have tickets (parent at http://opencast.jira.com/browse/MH-8855) created to get some traction with our coders. What we need is your help: Our committers know what we need to test, it is just not documented so it is really unclear to you, the adopter, what should be working and what should not. If you look at this page and think that you know what to write for a test please email the list with that writeup (or just add it to the wiki if you can). Do not worry too much about formatting if it is coming in via the list, I can handle that. If you think of a test that you do not see in the list, please send that in as well. Our committers are very busy, and while documentation is very important it is difficult for me to tear them away from writing code to get them to write documentation! This is a great place to start if your organization is thinking about giving back to the community. The barrier to entry is low, and the rewards for system stability are very high. Please consider taking part if you are interested in Matterhorn development! G
