Hi all, I have been trying to get v1.3 working on my Mac Mini by following the wiki (http://opencast.jira.com/wiki/display/MHDOC/Install+Source+OS+X+v1.3). I have encountered some issues along the way, hope you can please help me out.
I am currently on Build step 2, Third-party tools. When I press "a" to do all for the current platform, the menu3p script complains that some of the third party sources cannot be found, with a 404 error. Here is the error in question. I did not include the entire Terminal history, perhaps this is indicative enough. + wget -t 5 -4 -O giflib-4.1.6.tar.gz http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/giflib/giflib%204.x/giflib-4.1.6/giflib-4.1.6.tar.gz --2012-06-18 12:03:09-- http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/giflib/giflib%204.x/giflib-4.1.6/giflib-4.1.6.tar.gz Resolving downloads.sourceforge.net (downloads.sourceforge.net)... 216.34.181.59 Connecting to downloads.sourceforge.net (downloads.sourceforge.net)|216.34.181.59|:80... connected. It looks like giflib-4.1.6.tar.gz does not exist on the Sourceforge link in the menu3p script. If I ignore this and follow the guide, I cannot see any webpage on http://localhost:8080, which means I have to resolve the above error first. What I have done: * Instead of choosing "a" for menu3p, I chose 1 to download sources. That failed too with broken links * I tried "0", "4" and "5". Same thing. * I have reformatted and reinstalled OSX 10.6 from scratch, with XCode 4.2. I have the latest MacPorts and Apache Felix too. * I waited 2 weeks and tried again, hoping the broken link is fixed. No luck. My computer is a Mac Mini with OSX 10.6 fully updated, MacPorts and Apache Felix latest version, trying Matterhorn 1.3. The Mac has no other software installed. It's only function is to test Matterhorn. Hope you can help. Thanks so much! Gary
