At the moment no additional actions/instructions are required, except for Windows version of gstreamer, which is already described in README.txt. gstreamer is now automatically installed within the 3rd party scripts' execution (at the moment from trunk only). What would be useful, though, is that somebody (USask?) creates a list of required plugins (like x264enc, ...) and their minimum required versions so that people can check what they have installed with gst-inspect and other system tools. Maybe a script could be written which would check the required gstreamer plugins/versions after the installation and report if something is missing. This can happen since we don't have control over gstreamer versions in public repositories and each platform advances the versions at its own pace.
