Dear all As acting chair of the Opencast board, I would like to announce the results of the 2012 Opencast board elections and welcome Ben Hubbard as a new board member for UC Berkeley. Not surprisingly, the result was a rather convincing one... A warm welcome also to David Horwitz from UCT, who was elected as new representative for the committers on the Opencast board according to our governance model [1]. Looking forward to work with the two of you for the good of the Opencast community and Opencast Matterhorn. Also, I would like to thank the two outgoing members of the board: Mara Hancock was very much the women behind this project and the community and her inspiration will be missed; the same goes for Chris Brooks, the jack of all trades from Saskatchewan, whom we still hope to keep in our little community...
