Apologies for the cross-posting, but I wanted to be sure this reaches
everyone. This is a reminder to register to attend and submit your
proposals for the 2013 Opencast Matterhorn Unconference in San Diego.
http://unconference.opencast.org.
This event promises to provide hands-on training and presentations with
Matterhorn experts, a lively exchange of ideas and plans for campuses
around the world, and networking and collaboration among developers,
designers, administrators and decision-makers. This year's "hybrid
unconference" approach will establish several "anchor" sessions ahead of
time - those voted most in demand by conference-goers - while still
leaving room for ad hoc and on-demand discussions and sessions in the
unconference style.
But we need your participation NOW in order to make this a successful
event. If you are thinking about registering, now is the time! We need
to know who is coming so we can plan accordingly. Visit
http://unconference.opencast.org/register to register today.
We also need your session proposals! One of the ideas behind an
unconference is that everyone has something to contribute.
-- If you have solved a particular problem or know how to do something
that you've seen asked about on list, then you are qualified to present
on this topic.
-- We also welcome Lightning Talk proposals, a very popular and
informative way of sharing your local efforts and ideas. Limited to 10
minutes or less, our lightning talk sessions have created very vibrant
exchanges of ideas and sparked new collaborations.
-- You do not need to be an expert on a specific area to propose a
session - just have enough interest to lead a discussion on a topic. If
it's something that interests you, there are likely others who are
interested as well. If your idea brings people together in a room for an
active discussion, you can expect that everyone will leave the room with
greater knowledge than they had going in.
Please consider submitting a Session or Lightning Talk proposal today at
http://unconference.opencast.org.
Thanks for helping to make this another successful unconference event!
