Adam, there is also code in the ingest service that will advance the
preprocessing workflow. It would be interesting to know if this advancing is
happening, so if you want to add some logging there, that would be helpful so
we can figure out whether the workflow is stuck or whether it is falling back
after having been advanced. Does that make sense?
