Yes you can. But once you have set the mime type, or content type, I
don't believe you can change it again. (Just a warning...)

In Maverick 2.0 there is a null view type. It has been added to source
control, but not into a distribution yet. So you will need to get it
from cvs and build it, to use it.

We are very close to pushing out the 2.0 Release of maverick. We were
actually going to do it yesterday... :)

Maybe it would be interesting to add an example that sends back binary
data (like a jpg) using the view null.
