Are you asking if you can generate images from a maverick controller?

 

Definitely.  You can get access to the response by calling getCtx().getResponse().  Since you’re writing the data directly to the response you will want to use the “null” view type – it doesn’t make much sense to try to run your image through domify or xslt transforms :-)

I have a servlet that generates image content:

    response.setContentType("image/png");

 

The logic of the servlet is growing and I want ThrowawayBean2 to make this job. Is it possible?

I use "domify" as a view factory.
