A Sun IPX should have a DB-9 or DB-25 serial port, to which you
can connect a serial cable from the Mac (via a Mini-DIN to DB-9 or
DB-25 adapter). I connect my PowerBook G3/Pismo via a Keyspan
USB/Serial adapter, through a Mini-DIN to DB-9 adapter, to various
serial console devices all the time (including the cisco
ISDN/Ethernet router I use here at home, and the Twinhead SPARC clone
that I'm setting up for use as a server in the house).
