When I was looking at *nix on my C650, NetBSD consistently looked like the top candidate for 68k machines. (I ended up getting an old PPC box instead, so I can't tell you how it actually went for me.) That large drive and RAM should do real well. A/UX hasn't been maintained in a very long time.
The NetBSD site doesn't list the Q950 as supported, but I did find a few resources about it. <http://www.bernafamily.com/Computers/ComputersContent.html> <http://smalltalkconsulting.myip.org:8012/SmalltalkConsulting/2> <http://mail-index.netbsd.org/port-mac68k/2000/05/> That may not suit your needs, though. I guess you can still give A/UX a shot, if you can get a copy. <http://www.faqs.org/faqs/aux-faq/> Note that the AWS 95 was essentially a Q950 designed to run A/UX, so maybe it would work well. -- Tim Larson <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< Info.
