hi I too installed LinuxPPC 2002 Q4 (on an old 7200 with 48 mb RAM) and I have also thought about installing Yellow Dog Linux 2.2 (i ordered the CDs), as LinuxPPC has "stagnated" and disappeared (any one seen their website lately?).
I would recommend Yellow Dog. Order the CD and the install Manual. Worth it. I had a heck of a time installing LinuxPPC the first time. By the 10th time, no problem. ;) I never got Yellow Dog to install on my 7200, but I will try again with the official Cds and I will try to install on my 4400 and on my b/w B3 and anything else I can find. :) Mat X ---------------------------------------- http://matx.ca -- MaX-list is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> MaX-list info: <http://lowendmac.com/linux/max.shtml> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/max-list%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
