        The Unix socket /var/run/ndc is not being created, so BIND can't 
listen to it and accept commands from ndc.  As to why this socket 
isn't being created, it's hard to say.  Does anything show up in 
syslog?  Maybe you could increase your logging levels?  Maybe you 
could run BIND under truss or ktrace, so that you could see the 
system calls that are being made?
