Hi
Do you remember the /dev/name of the partition on which you installed
Debian? For example mine is at /dev/sda7. In my Penguin Console settings
it does not seem to matter if the RAM disk is active or not just as long
as I have root=/dev/sda7 video=font:vga8x8 set in the Command line under
the options tab.

If your Debain partition is on your main harddrive it would be sda#
where # = the partiton number. If its on your second or third drive it
would then be sdb# or sdc#. Using HD Setup I have in order, the mac
driver partition, 3 macOS partitions, A/UX swap, A/UX SVR2 partition,
then another chunk of extra space. If you count these in order the A/UX
SVR2 or / partition is number 6 so I cant explain why I need to use sda7
rather than sda6, Debain see's it as sda7. If you've forgotten the
partition number you have installed it on you might try opening HD Setup
and counting the partitions and adding 1 to your sda#.

I hope that helps in some small way.
