I'm installing Linux for the first time on a Mac (7200 with ADB mouse). After choosing packages, the installer starts asking for some settings. One of the things is asks while setting up XFree86 is the mouse type. I'm sorry I don't have the exact list, but it basically listed the following as possibilities:
PS2 Serial Port (4 possible ports) ImPS2 Logitech
and some others (again, sorry for not being precise). No entry looked like ADB mouse in anyway. I chose PS2 because that was highlighted by default. Was that right or wrong? It's still compiling packages, so I don't know if XFree86 will run yet. Anyone done this before with Debian on an old world beige Mac?
Thanks.
Yuck, a Debian - xfree question. PS2 is right by the docs, adb is buried in there but not in the install script.
See how you go once it finishes the install, there are a couple of programs that will configure your mouse, I hope you know your way around a cli, basic really.
I'll fire up the quadra. :)
