I found your string of messages on the SAP list in July regarding the above message with Win XP very interesting as we are running into the same thing. I was discouraged to see no responses indicating a solution from SAP. Best bet on my part is that there will be no solution until after MaxDB 7.5 as they'll be focusing on the MySQL integration layer. Understandably so. Has the one log file one database extent solution proven to solve it for the two months since you reported the problem?
