I have been using SAPDB verrsion 7.4 on Win 2k server. for a while. Lst night I ran a batch job (this batch job was a simple java program ; I was not resoriing or migrating the database) that populated a couole of tables to a point where the the data volumes became full. I have rebooted the server but now I cant access the database anymore
I have been using Dbmgui to manage this database . But this morning I am not able to conect to the database to bring it online. I get this error
24988 sql error [db_restart]; -8888,connection broken, I am unable to add a new dvspace as its says "the Parameter File is changed . You must stop and restart data base to get new parameters active" . And I am unable to Restart as I get the "connection broken" error.

Also, please advise how to avoid this error from happening again ??
