what did you do to good old DBMGUI?
DBM2 aka "DBM second edition" need 100% CPU for about 20-30 seconds on a P3-800. On an Athlon XP 2000+ DBM2 only need a few seconds. Well, but still 100% CPU.
What's wrong? Did you use an endless-loop to check a volatile variable or something like that? I can't imagine any case where so much CPU usage would be necessary.
It's not only the start. If i try to open the configuration wizard, it takes about !a minute! on my p3-800. On my Athon XP 2000+ it again only takes me a few secs, but the delay is notable.
Please mail back to me too. I'm subcibed but not reading the list currently.
BTW: could somebody register this ML at gmane.org like all the other mysql lists? (and the SAPDB mailinglist in former times)
Thx Sven
