Hi, My company has a SAP DB 7.4 under Win 2K sp4 installation. We have been using this server for around 3 months. Yesterday the server crashed, and couldn't be restarted again. Whenever I tried to START it it gave an error : Error Code : -24895 Description : shutdown of database occured [db_warm -f]; -71 , connection broken. However, I can still go to admin mode. After I investigated, it's probably because the database was full, and ppl were still attempted to upload files to it. Made it crashed. To resolve this, I tried to add new devspaces since we can still do that in admin mode. But when I tried that it refused and gave this error msg : " You can not add devspaces now, the parameter file is changed. Stop and then restart the database to get the new parameters active. " After I investigated, I learned that my co-worker has attempted to change a few of the parameters (after the crash). Now I am facing some sort of a deadlock - The server can't be restarted due to disk full, and I can't add new devspaces because the parameter has been changed, thus the database instance needs to be restarted (which I can't do) before I can add devspaces. What I would like to know : 1. Why does the database can't be started (by looking at the error msg) ? Is it because the database was full ? 2. How to solve the 'deadlock' problem I mentioned above, I can't add new devspaces. Thanks in advance for the help. Regards, Resi W.

The right PTS message for this bug is http://www.sapdb.org/webpts?wptsdetail=yes&ErrorType=0&ErrorID=1124544 Sorry for this little confusion.
