Hi,
I'm new to SAP DB, and I'm trying to install it for the first time.
The installation of the base database seemed to pass ok, with no errors.
When I try to install a new instance though, using the DB Manager, I
reach the last state of the wizard (where the actual installation
process take place) and the installation fails with the following error:
-24988 sql error [util_activate .]; -7017,Message not available
I receive this error after the first two stages of the installation
process were completed:
Start database instance . OK!
Initialize configuration . OK!
And the error pops during the third stage:
Activate database instance .
Any ideas?
BTW, the database is installed on Win 2K Professional with enough disk
space.
