I am trying to get a vtrace to work on 7.4. Using DBMCLI I get the following error when I issue the command
Dbmcli -d tst -u dba,dba trace_prot akb -24964,ERR_EXECUTE: error in program execution 1,""c:\program files\sapdb\depend\bin\xkernprot" -d TEST akb" *** ERROR -903: HOST FILE OPEN ERROR, wrong file or device name Also, using the GUI DB manager I found the area where I can control the vtrace. I turn on the default vtrace option, send a select command via ODBC to the server (it responds correctly). I then tell the server to flush and then go to the diagnosis files area and refresh. The kernel trace file is not updated. What am I doing wrong? Reggie
