As written from Jeroen Boomgaardt in February 2003 we also recognize that the CATALOG CACHE hit rate doesn't exceed approx 70%.

We have already raised the CAT_CACHE_SUPPLY parameter from 4000 to 8000 pages, but no effect.

Are there already some news concerning this object, either in newer SAP-DB versions or in newer Perl DBD::ODBC versions?

I've posted this before, but since you ask:

We are currently using:
SAP-DB 7.4.3.10
DBI 1.32
DBD-ODBC 1.01
unixODBC 2.2.3
on RedHat Linux and our cache hitrate is constantly at 99%. (CACHE-SIZE=20000).
