We are now on MaxDB 7.5 - and we are revisiting if we are overlooking any tuning.
We have a main table with millions of records, using integer indexes. Table is about 4GB in size. We have a 1.9GB CACHE_SIZE and are using it, but still not feeling like we are getting enough out of the RAM. Too much disk I/O. Can someone review any and all parameters relating to performance. Buffers, caches, index merge, etc. Yes, we run UPDATE STATS on a regular basis. We also have studied our queries. We just want to make sure we have the engine tuned as well as possible. Thanks.
