We are using SAP DB 7.3.0 Build 38 running on Windows 2000 Advanced Server with 3GB option. The application is SAP R/3 release 46C. The database size is actually 120 GB. The devspace size is 32 GB, five devspaces are configured. The data cache size is 2.4 GB. The hit ratio is 99% The converter cache hit ratio is 100%. I see extreme long running SELECT Statements on my database. For example SELECT from Table EBAN with index use, runs sometimes about 20 seconds. If the database is in the cache, the result set is within 500 milliseconds on my client. Is it possible that the devspace are to large? Or is it possible that there are to less devspaces? Is it possible that the data cache is to large? Best regards, christian
