Hello Jeroen,

assuming you are astonished by the number of 'kernel' processes shown
in 'top' or similar system admin tool - these are just threads.

You may lower the number of threads that handle user connections by
lowering the number of possible user connections - the database
parameter MAXUSERTASKS, but then, of course fewer users can connect.
