Hello Lna, sorry, there is little in-detail information available in this topic. Anyway differences listed in the MaxDB documentation are related to the Oracle SQL mode of MaxDB, a mode in which MaxDB emulates SQL syntax of Oracle 7.3 (with the listed exceptions in the documentation). That list is not to be understood as general 'feature list' of MaxDB, only as help for people coming from Oracle.
So, the only advice is look at you current Oracle usage scenario and make a list of key topics that are needed also in the replacement installaton, and look for these features and how to access them in the respective documentation of MaxDB or one of its competitors. And, if you really cannot find something particular in the MaxDB documentation, you possibly may ask this list :-) Regards Alexander Schrder SAP DB, SAP Labs Berlin > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Wednesday, January 14, 2004 10:33 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Functions of MaxDB > > > Hi everybody, > > I want to switch from Oracle to MaxDB or PostgreSQL, but I > must prepare a > comparative document before chosing between the 2 of them. > > Do you know where I could find such information ?
