Hello Hans-Joachim,

please send me the files knldiag, knldiag.err, dbm.utl, dbm.prt and <dbname>.prt of
the time you received the -8888.

You can create the trace protocol <dbname>.prt with the command
"Dbmcli ... trace_prot akbx".

Kind regards,
Uwe

Subject: Recover problems on Solaris 5.8 with SAPDB 7.4.3.30

Hello,

we have problems with recover of a standby database.

We create with backup/restore commands from dbmcli a standby database.

Afterwards we recover the database with
        recover_start ...
        recover_replace ...
        recover_cancel
also as dbmcli-commands.

If we did this recover-sequences several times, we got an error
        8888 connection broken.

The standby database is then corrupt.
We can not do any recover afterwards.
We have to build a new standby database.

Our environment is
        Solaris 5.8
        SAPDB 7.4.3.30 .

Many thanks for your help.

With kind regards
        Hans-Joachim Krger
