Hi Everyone,

Related question: Is it possible to specify a start file size for
tables and/or databases in MySQL? I ask because in databases like MS
SQL Server, you can tell it to start off with a particular file size
regardless of the initial amount of data which helps in reducing disk
fragmentation.

We do alot of data warehousing and are evaluating MySQL in this
capacity. HD latency can be a real performance killer.

Any advice?

Thanks,

Mike
