We are currently running SAP DB 7.4.3.31. I am in the process of installing MaxDB 7.5.00.08 DBMGUI, SQL Studio, and the ODBC drivers on my PC and an AIX MaxDB install for review in preparation for upgrade.
I received a couple surprises I'd like your input on. The first is that the install of SQL Studio informed me that "SQL Studio 7.4 has to be uninstalled. Continue?" I chose no. Will the MaxDB 7.5 SQL Studio work with SAP DB 7.4.03.31? The second is that the MaxDB DBMGUI displayed all the SAP DB databases registered in my SAP DB DBMGUI. I didn't change anything with it, but the only error I noted is that the DB Analyzer returned an error code of 0. Do I dare use the MaxDB 7.5.00.08 DBMGUI on SAP DB 7.4.03.31 databases? I haven't yet started the install of both SAP DB 7.4.03.31 and MaxDB 7.5.00.08 on our test AIX box. What do I need to consider ahead of time?
