Dropping a Table

Hello,
 
        I am getting a "General error;-7500 POS(1) DCOM RESULT:." when
trying to drop a table in SQL Studio. The drop table does not succeed, of
course.
 
        The documentation states that the explanation for this error thus :
"An unexpected error occurred during the CREATE PACKAGE statement. The exact
cause of the error is signified by a numerical value (HRESULT) in the error
message."
 
        Can somebody enlighten me on this. I am using maxDB version 7.5.0.8
on a Sun Solaris machine.
