Thanks all lot for the help!
I've tried to install it on GNU/Linux 2.6.3-kernel (gentoo-dev-kernel) i686 AMD Duron(tm) processor AuthenticAMD
perl-5.8.2-r1 python-2.3.3 bison-1.875 gcc-3.3.2-r5
I used the PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" in /etc/make.conf where I have the following files ./dev-db/maxdb-devtools-src/files/digest-maxdb-devtools-src-7.5.0.8-r2 ./dev-db/maxdb-devtools-src/files/maxdb-devtools-src-7_5_0_8_all.patch ./dev-db/maxdb-devtools-src/Manifest ./dev-db/maxdb-devtools-src/maxdb-devtools-src-7.5.0.8-r2.ebuild ./dev-db/maxdb-src/files/maxdb-source-7_5_0_8_all.patch ./dev-db/maxdb-src/files/maxdb-source-7_5_0_8_etc.patch ./dev-db/maxdb-src/files/digest-maxdb-src-7.5.0.8-r1 ./dev-db/maxdb-src/Manifest ./dev-db/maxdb-src/maxdb-src-7.5.0.8-r1.ebuild
I did emerge maxdb-src after I successfully merged maxdb-devtools-src.
Best regards Martin

Hi Martin !
Im giving my best to reproduce your compilation error but i can't. The only way i can get the same error for vni90c.c is when i directly try to build the target sqlfilter.lnk (which is not ment to be built seperatly). As soon as i build the cpc.mac everything is fine. And the ebuild does a imf all.
Could you please provide more information about: Your system and installed versions of python, bison, perl, gcc. How you did the emerge. Might there have been an error before the on you sent ?
Thanks Hermann

Hi Hermann!
I tried to emerge maxdb-devtools-src and maxdb-src. maxdb-devtools-src works fine but for maxdb-src I got errors.
The first is:
vni90c.c compilation errors cpc options: -H nocheck -S INTERNAL -c file: vni90c.cpc cc -c -I /var/tmp/portage/maxdb-src-7.5.0.8-r1/work/V75_00_08/MaxDB_ORG\ /usr/sdk/7500/incl -I /var/tmp/portage/maxdb-src-7.5.0.8-r1/work/V75_00_\ 08/MaxDB_ORG/usr/incl vni90c.c gcc: vni90c.c: No such file or directory gcc: no input files error messages written to file vni90c.lst vni90c.c saved Source "vni90c.c" after running script "compcpc.pl" not found !
Any ideas, what went wrong?
Thanks for the ebuilds!
