I copied this mail from Jan Suchanek since I have got exactly the same unsolved problem. Please if you have a hard to help a blood sweating sole, rescue me.
after some try&error we found a way to migrate from 7.3 to 7.5 directly:
- it seems that the migration does not work with indices, so you have to export them and then drop all indices
- install 7.5 not 7.4 as described the the paper fom SAP
- use "db_register �-R /opt/sdb/7500" in step 9
- load the system tables with "load_systab �-u DBA,<pwd> �-ud DOMAIN" (step 18)
