Hi,
after the command db_activate the backup-history is interrupted,
because the logvolume is implicitely cleared. If a logbackup would
be allowed in this state, than it would be impossible to decide
whether a newly created backup belongs to your production system
or to your backup-system.
The easiest solution to your problem would be not to recreate
the database each night, but only to recover the new logbackups:
Once:
create initial database (db_activate recover...)
each night:
recover_start logsave
recover_replace
recover_replace
...
recover_cancel
You have to start the recovery with the logbackup which had been
the last one in the previous night.
But NEVER bring the shadow database into online-mode. Otherwise
you cannot continue the logrecovery next night.
regards, martin
