Hello Alex,
as one can see after "---------- Begin of output of Backint for SAP DB (C:\lab...",
the Backint for SAP DB program (C:\lab\sapdb\depend\bin\backint.exe) has read data
from backup pipe \\.\pipe\INST1 <file://\\.\pipe\INST1> and after creating one
temporary file (most probably C:\lab\sapdb\indep_data\wrk\INST1\backup\stage\STAGE1.0
of size 64 byte), has called Backint for Oracle
(C:\lab\sapdb\indep_data\wrk\INST1\backup\backint_OB\backint.cmd) to backup that
temporary file.
Backint for Oracle answered with the single line:
C:\LAB\SAPDB\DEPEND>C:\perl\bin\perl.exe
C:\lab\sapdb\indep_data\wrk\INST1\backup\backint_OB\wrapper.pl
That is not exactly a answer for a successful backup run of Backint for Oracle.
Backint for SAP DB therefore thinks, that the first temporary file was not backed up
successfully and concludes, that there is no need to create and backup other temporary
files, as the backup of the database can only be complete, if all temporary files were
backed up successfully by Backint for Oracle. It therefore ends with an error for the
pipe backup ("#ERROR \\.\pipe\INST1 <file://\\.\pipe\INST1> ").

Tilo Heinrich

Description:
SAPDB - Inst1 :
- ERROR TID: 0xAB0 PID: 0xB78 MsgID: 18206
Could not write to '\\.\pipe\INST1', rc = 232
=======================
We have already checked all the configuration files requested by HP Data Protector and
ASPDB, we also created a Backup Medium called "BACK_INST1_SAPDB", Device Type
PIPE, Backup type "Complete DATA" and Location \\.\pipe\INST1 <file://\\.\pipe\INST1> .
Something is telling us that the location is not right.
Do you know what should be the correct value?
