what do you mean with "cannot modify data"? Do you get an error
when executing SQL-Statements? Which error?

What error do you get? Can you solve the error or do you leave it
and proceed?

Please tell us, what do you add at this point.

Every time a logbackup is made the extension of the backupfile is
incremented. The underlying concept for logbackups is complete different
to the one of databackups. I.e. there is no complete vs. incremental
backup, but only a backup of yet unsaved logpages.

Does ist not? What error do you get?

What do you mean by saying "it seems not to work"? Didn't you get
an returncode from the restore log?

If some database-administration does not work, then have a lokk into
the diagnostic files (at most dbm.knl, knldiag) and if you do not
understand the errors there, then please provide us this information.
It is hard for us to analyse a problem, if you do not exactly describe
what you did and which command returned which returncode.

Kind regards, Martin
