Hi Dan, do you really need the files? If your system is still running then just create a complete backup. You can use this backup as a starting point for logrecovery and thus skip the defect logbackups. The principal layout is that the backup starts with 8 pages header, then the logpages are following and at the end are again 8 pages trailer located. But it will be very hard to get a consistent complete layout made from a defect logbackup - even if you love puzzles.
