Hi Michael,

as I could see from your dbm.utl this is a known bug and the workaround 
mentioned by Ulrich Lickert before is the only one which helps. I am sorry but 
you have to restart the database server. This bug can occur if a backup is 
cancelled and it is true that this bug exists only since 7.5.

In 7.5.00.25 this will be fixed.
