Tilo (and everyone): I just ran another test. Using what I learned earlier about sapdb_backint, I used it to again cause Data Protector to send the log backup from tape to the pipe created earlier. Then, using sapdb's pipe2file program, I read from this pipe and created a file containing the log data.
After that, I... dbmcli on sandbox : DEV>medium_put fredtest /var/opt/omni/tmp/logdata FILE LOG ...and then, I... dbmcli on sandbox : DEV>medium_labeloffline fredtest OK Returncode 0 Date 20050309 Time 00011502 Server twobase Database DEV Kernel Version Kernel 7.4.3 Build 033-123-070-674 Pages Transferred 0 Pages Left 0 Volumes Medianame Location /var/opt/omni/tmp/logdata Errortext Label LOG_00168 Is Consistent First LOG Page 10136969 Last LOG Page DB Stamp 1 Date 20050308 DB Stamp 1 Time 00011556 DB Stamp 2 Date DB Stamp 2 Time Page Count 57048 Devices Used 1 Database ID twobase:DEV_20040830_195645 Max Used Data Page So at least now we know the details for LOG_00168. I note that the "Database ID" (above) matches the "Id LOG Info" notation from the db_restartinfo we performed earlier. Does this help us at all?
