Yes, that is correct ;)

Yes. At the moment I'm testing each database-engine with single ATA
disks. I'm aware that this reduce the performance quite a bit. But then,
- I'm only using a fragment of the data that will populate the
database.

I have them on separate partitions, but on the same physical disk. I can
spread the load over some more disks and see how that affects the
performance.
