I suppose you are running MaxDB in unicode mode with the 7.6 version, but in 
ascii mode with 
version 7.5.
Unfortunately there's a bug inside both versions, which prevents the usage of 
the ROWID option
in combination with unicode database instances.
We will fix this bug as soon as possible.
