Hi Patrick,
do you also do shorter trainings (1-2 days) that focus on understanding of the internals and optimizing db usage (resource usage, query optimization, index tuning, OS specific stuff etc.)? Thx!
Kind regards
robert
Hi,
I would appreciate that as well. Also I would prefer if the focus could be placed on the more advanced topics:
* Perform a backup, recovery and check routine * Handling database monitoring and the addition and settings of data and log volumes * Understand the advanced server features like High Availability, Snapshots and MaxDB Eventing * Have the ability to handle optimization tasks, like understanding memory areas and locks * Understand and use the Database Analyzer tool for checking how a MaxDB instance can be improved
(I don't need a training session to learn how to use online docs or post to the mailing list :-) )
In addition topics like recommended server setup like disk-layout, file systenm type etc. would be interesting.

Hi MaxDB-users!
We will be arranging MaxDB Administration Training in Berlin, 11-13.May. Please join this great opportunity for learning how to professionally administer a MaxDB installation.
More information, and registration, is available here: http://www.mysql.com/training/courses/maxdb_administration.html
FYI: Training and material will be in English, but the teacher will be fluent in German also for questions/exercises. (If all attendees are German-speaking the training can be also given in German).
Please don't hesitate to contact me in case you have any questions.
Enjoy the weekend, Best regards,
Patrik
