Hello,
The problem seems to be very hard to get rid of :-(
After I've upgraded my ODBC driver to the
one from maxdb-odbc-setup-7_5_00_26 package,
the problem appeared once more, with exact the
same entry in Application log:

The system has called a custom component and that component has failed and
generated an exception. This indicates a problem with the custom component.
Notify the developer of this component that a failure has occurred and
provide them with the information below.
Component Prog ID: 0[ODBC][Env 7d314e8]
Method Name: IDispenserDriver::CreateResource
Process Name: myservicename.exe
The serious nature of this error has caused the process to terminate.

COMSVCS!DispManGetContext(unsigned long *,unsigned long *) + 0x164F

The source of the event is COM+.
Later this week I'll try to reboot the machine (this is a production
server),
and maybe this will help?

Best regards,

Marcin Pytel
