for 7.6.10, we normaly require a glibc >= 2.3.3 and a 2.6.x Kernel. Most
modern Linux-Distros match these requirements.

On a RedHat/SuSE/$whateverisRPMbased, you can find out your
glibc-Version by typing
 rpm -q -a | grep -i glibc
which should produce something like this:

glibc-locale-2.3.3-98.38
glibc-info-2.3.3-98.38
glibc-2.3.3-98.38
glibc-devel-2.3.3-98.38
glibc-i18ndata-2.3.3-98.38
glibc-profile-2.3.3-98.38
glibc-html-2.3.3-98.38
