Hi,

in the rundirectory of the database (see the db-parameter RUNDIRECTORY)
there are some diagnostic files located. At first have a look in the
file
knldiag.

kind regards, Martin

Subject: maxdb instance crashes

Hi,
I'm still new in maxDB.
I created an instance of maxdb and were testing a function.

Suddenly this message showed up:

sqlcli RADIUS=> update subscribers set  RATEPLAN_ID=4;
* -10807: Connection down: [4] connection broken server state 4
sqlcli RADIUS=> \c
* -10709: Connection failed (RTE:Database not running: no request pipe)

Then by giving ps -x , i found that threads for this instance is not
running.
It happened twice.

I'm afraid if i can use this database for a realtime application !!

The database is not in production yet.

OS: Linux Advanced server
RAM: 4 GB
MaxDB version: 7.5.0.26
Some params of the instance:
CAT_CACHE_SUPPLY 1500
CACHE_SIZE 25600
MAXDATAVOLUMES 64

Can any one give me any clue ? Where can i get the maxDB log (like
/var/log/mysqld) ?

thanks in advance
