We are using SAPDB/MaxDB on LVM/XFS for years now and never had any
problems. I guess at least performance wise XFS is better than ReiserFS
for MaxDB. ReiserFS is good handling lot of small files, XFS is good
handling large files, which is usually what you have with MaxDB. Another
thing is that ReiserFS comsumes much more CPU cycles than XFS, which is
not optimal on a DB server where CPU should be most available to the DB
itself, not the filesystem under it.
