Hello Ajit, ERR_USRFAIL can have three reasons:
A) user or password are not correct B) The User Profile Container (<IndepDataPath>\config\<dbname>.upc) is empty and the specified user and password do not match the one encrypted in the parameter file of the database. C) The User Profile Container (<IndepDataPath>\config\<dbname>.upc) is empty and can not be recreated. Although questionable for cases B) and C) nothing is logged to dbm.prt to avoid denial-of-service-attacks from unauthorized users. Hi, I'm running sapdb 7.3.0.48(Windows 2000).I have a script that tries to backup the db on a daily basis dbmcli -d dbname -u username, password >medium_put datamedium "E:\dbbkp\bak200512290400.sdb" FILE DATA Error! Connection failed to node (local) for database mmp: ERR_USRFAIL: user authorization failed I sometimes get the error above.(I can confirm that the username/password is correct).Any ideas on what is causing the error?? I've sometimes run into similar problems when running other dbmcli commands from an automatic monitoring script.
