This won't work for file'names"like.this - IMHO you additionally need
a quoting mechanism.  (I'd prefer duplicating the quote character as
using backslash as escape character is not a good idea - mainly
because it's not portable to Windows systems. That way a single
mechanism would suffice for all platforms.)

What kind of link is this?  I couldn't get to any reasonable content with this.

Thank you very much for the offer! But I suggest we save the effort on
both sides because for me it would be a major issue to integrate the
loader from 7.6 into our installation routine and we had no actual
customer issues.  We stumbled on this when we did some internal tests
and in practice I haven't seen anyone using quotes inside file names.
We just wait until we upgrade to 7.6; I guess by that time the changed
loader will be part of the std distribution. Thanks again! It's really
appreciated.
